Alicia Rose Gonzales wins SILVER in Taekwondo
October 26, 2016
Alicia Rose Gonzales, takes home a silver medal. It was a victory not just for her, but also for us. Though she did not achieved to get the gold medal, all I can say that we're still proud of her. If we can see in her games, she's really confident and very determined to win the game.
She had encountered most of her opponents that are from Cebu. But with the score of 7-6, her opponent won. By that time, when she still strikes for her head kick few seconds left and hits her, all of the audiences and even her coach, were amazed and gave her a standing ovation and around of applause. But unfortunately, the place were filled with sadness and disappointment when her kick was not even counted by the censor at all- that is the reason why her opponent won, but still it was a nice, and fair game.
For her; it was a great honor to play in the National Level held in Cebu City, together with her teammates and their coach that are always there to support and guide her.
